Hotel Saint Clair - Magnificent Mile

My wife and I quickly had to make a trip to Chicago for our son's emergency brain surgery. Being last minute we searched around Northwestern Memorial Hospital for a place to stay. After calling many hotels, we were fortunate to connect with the staff at Hotel Saint Clair. Gus at the front desk listened to our situation with compassion and worked with us on a discounted price for our 10 day stay. He wasn't the only one Alicia and Will also worked with us in Gus' absence. Our room was always clean and well supplied. Carlos and the Housekeeping team always were receptive to our needs. My wife and I tried to remember all the staff that made our stay as pleasant as possible during a very difficult time, however we are fearful we have left some hotel staff out. Please forgive us. We enjoyed the renovations of a hotel that has long been established. The outstanding customer service was consistent across the board with every staff we met. Hopefully we will not have to return to Chicago for further treatment, however if we do, we would not hesitate to stay at the Hotel Saint Clair once again.

This is without a doubt one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed the room was very comfortable and very worth the price. the nice folks there were so caring even letting me and my partner check in at 9:30am because of their dedication to good service and of course they were near magnificent mile so we were able to walk and get good Lyft spots from the hotel also. If you haven’t stayed at this hotel I 100% recommend it to everyone!!

Liz and Chris were so sweet and welcoming. Took very good care of us during our stay, greeted us everyday we walked in and told us good bye every time we left! offered wonderful recommendations for places to go, definitely recommend booking here!

I spent four nights here in a King Superior room and really enjoyed my stay. The hotel’s location was perfect and close to every site and activity we had planned. The area felt safe and there were reliable transportation options to get around, but walking was easy too and nothing ever felt too far. Check in and check out were smooth and the room was spotless. The cleaning staff were friendly and each night was quiet with little to no noise. The bed was extremely comfortable, maybe the best I have slept in, and the shower stayed hot with great water pressure even with multiple uses. If you are looking for a place in the heart of the city that is clean, comfortable, and convenient while you explore, this is a great choice. I booked through Hopper and was honestly shocked at the value for the price. As for the elevator complaints in other reviews, I did not find them to be an issue at all. It worked fine when we needed it for luggage and the stairs were easy to use as well. Highly recommend.

Overall nice hotel just a block or so off of Michigan Ave., so nice location for the money. Overall good experience but as others have written just understand that the hotel is in an older building so the rooms are on the small side as are the elevators. The elavators can be a bit slow to arrive as there are only two, so during checkout time for example we just ended up taking the stairs rather than wait several minutes for the elevator. Rooms looked like they were recently remodeled with fresh paint and carpet. The cable TV froze quite often, making watching TV pretty hard to do. Bathrooms looked freshly remodeled as well. Both mornings we got pretty warm water but not hot water when we showered. Staff was very nice and quickly answered our requests. Make sure to give 24 hours notice if you want maid service to clean your room otherwise they just change out towels if you request it. I'd come back again. Overall a good value for the money.

The location downtown is exquisite! The only staff members that are courteous is Alisha and Will the Manager (not sure if I spelled her name correctly). The rest of the staff that were rude to me have no interpersonal skills or true customer service experience at all. The staff members that were rude to me operate blissfully in their ignorance. The staff members that were rude to me pick and choose who they will be courteous too! Michael is one of the Managers and is a joke! He’s very sassy and quick to hang the phone up in your face like the immature child minded so called man he is. I booked this room on Hopper. The rooms are small but very cute and cozy. The beds are very comfortable so you will get a decent nights rest. The elevators are small but are fast and efficient. If you need to book last minute for a good price this is the place for you. Be aware the valet is not cheap at all. I just want the public to be aware of Michael and the few rude staff members who are a piece of work so I wanted to warn others of those individuals. Only deal with Will and Alisha! Those two kind souls will go above and beyond for you. For those who had a polite interaction with all staff members, I am happy those individuals were treated well like they were supposed to be. Enjoy!

Will is amazing. He has the best customer service anyone could offer we come from Dallas and he’s been overall fantastic, he has been very responsive, he has given my boyfriend and i the best service we could’ve asked for and been the overall absolute best person to interact with at a hotel. I would recommend this place and him to the person taking care of anyone overall. He deserves all the appreciation and respect that this world can offer.

An Absolute Gem in the Heart of Downtown: Hotel Saint Claire From the moment I stepped into Hotel Saint Claire, located perfectly by the Magnificent Mile, I knew I was in for a treat. This hotel is not just beautifully appointed with stylish decor, but it's a true urban oasis. The convenience of having a full bar and restaurant on-site was fantastic, making it easy to relax after a long day of exploring. The room itself was spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—providing the perfect night's rest. However, what truly sets Hotel Saint Claire apart is the phenomenal staff. The morning team was amazing, especially Ebony, who was so informative, patient, and helped me with all my questions and needs. Her bright demeanor started my day off perfectly. The most incredible service, however, came at the moment I needed it most. After having two Uber rides cancel, putting me at risk of missing my flight, Jayla stepped in like a travel superhero. She swiftly found alternative transportation that was not only reliable but even lower priced than the cancelled Ubers. Thanks to Jayla's quick thinking and dedication, I made my flight with time to spare! To Ebony and Jayla, thank you so much for turning a potential travel disaster into a smooth departure and for ensuring I had a very pleasant stay. I highly recommend Hotel Saint Claire to anyone visiting the city; their beautiful accommodations and exceptional service are unmatched!
